Corners are not just for photos…

…or rooms…or edges of cardstock :-)    I love using my photo corners for things *other* than photos – it really increases my embellishment possibilities :-)

For today’s project, I made a pretty purple flower on a clip – perfect for wearing in your hair – or attaching to your favorite tote bag.  In my case, I work at a plant nursery on the weekends, so I decided I would use this on my apron to spread some spring cheer :-)

Making this flower was easy peasy!  I started by inking Classic Style Photo Corners (white) with 2 shades of purple ink.

I punched a 2″ circle from a coordinating color of cardstock and began attaching the corners around the outside perimeter.  The fact that they are self adhesive makes this step a breeze!

After I completed a circle, I began the next row – slightly inside the first row – and used the lighter shade of purple.

I repeated this step, and alternated the colors until I came to the center -

Then I punched a 2 circles, and a fringed flower out of cardstock.  Remember this post?  I finished my flower off with a DodzTM – and this time, I applied purple glitter :-)

I die cut 2 leaves out of kraft cardstock, and finished the whole thing off by attaching a clip using those Medium DodzTM .

Thanks for stopping by! Spring is here!!!
