Hello! It’s Kristen, and today I am sharing a card for Dad
Yesterday was Father’s Day – and I whipped up this masculine card just for my dad.
Let me show you how easy it was to make this super simple, but striking card -
After adhering the hounds tooth paper to my card base, I used Click ‘n Stick Mounting Squares to adhere the blue gingham paper. With simple square shapes, I like to use the Mounting Squares to adhere my paper – with just a few squares on the back, I am sure to have GREAT adhesion - without wasting unnecessary adhesive.
Next, I wanted to add the intricate die cut stars as a border… but how do you adhere such a teeny – tiny die cut? Especially with those open centers? E-Z Dots®dispensers! The repositionable adhesive is handy when I am trying to place the border “just-so” and the little dots make it easy to get great coverage – without erroneous adhesive sticking out!
After getting the placement “just right” – I just rub my fingers gently over the die cut, and any extra adhesives simply rubs away
I also used the new DODZ™ – Small to keep that little button in place. (My new favorite button adhesive!)
Thanks for stopping by!
