A little hello from Kristen!

My name is Kristen and I am SO excited to be a part of this wonderfully creative design team ☺ SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES BY 3L™ have been my go-to adhesives forever – and I look forward to sharing their versatility with you throughout the upcoming year.

I have been a crafter for most of my life – something I inherited from my mother. As a child I was always surrounded by construction paper, crayons and glue…and as I grew older – those items were replaced with patterned paper, Copics and SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES BY 3L™!  (Truth be told – I STILL love construction paper and crayons!)  Nowadays, I spend my days working for a laboratory in the Health Care field, but my evenings are spent indulging my creative side – Papercrafting ☺

My style ranges from vintage and retro to clean and simple – often with a bit of whimsical thrown in – just for fun.  Ironically – the songs on my iPod often mimic these styles as well!  The project I am sharing with you today reflects my love for vintage images and patterns.

Its a Chipboard album – perfect for memories of grandparents and family – or even for new memories.  I used several different products from SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES BY 3L™ on this project –3D Foam Squares, MyStik™ Repositionable Dots, Crafty Power Tape and Adhesive Sheets.

The edge of the album has a lot of detail – with the scallop and the holes.  In order to ensure edge-to-edge coverage on such intricate details – before running the paper through my die cutter, I applied a 6×12” Adhesive Sheet.  Then I ran the chipboard through the die cutter.  When it came time to adhere the paper to the chipboard – I knew I would have perfect adherence from the sheets – and I didn’t have to worry about an oozy glue mess – like a liquid adhesive would leave.

Whenever I am stitching photo mats or details – I use MyStik™ Repositionable Dots to quickly adhere the layers before passing them through my sewing machine.  The dots do not add any additional bulk, are easily sewn through, and I can reposition my layers if I need to.  After stitching, I adhere the sewn mats using the Crafty Power Tape.  This super strong adhesive is perfect for adhering the stitched threads to the pages of the album.

Obviously, when looking for layering and dimension, there is nothing I would rather use than 3D Foam Squares.  They provide excellent adhesion – no matter what the item is (paper, buttons, cardstock).

I hope you have enjoyed this project and I look forward to providing you with “Sticky” inspiration throughout the upcoming year!
