Core’dinations Blog Hop Day 1 ~ Men and Boys Toys

Welcome to Monday! But wait, it’s going to be a great Monday because we’re blog hopping with Core’dinations ColorCore Cardstock® this week!

Beth Pingry Core'dinations Card I’m starting off with this easy card featuring Core’dinations ColorCore Cardstock®, which I embossed in the Spellbinders™ Grand Calibur® machine with the So Trendy M-Bossabilities™ folder. It gives a nice deep embossed design. I used the Core’dinations Sand It Set tool to sand the blue and green embossed cardstock, which revealed the kraft colored core of the paper. Easy and impressive!

I used Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® Polypropylene Black Photo Corners on the blue cardstock. Instead of sticking them to the background cardstock, I used Black 3D Foam Squares to hold them onto the corners (on the back side) and to give the blue layer some lift.  I like how they frame out the layer and bring focus to the center of the card. Then I added the green cardstock die cut, which was embossed with the reverse side of the M-Bossabilities folder. It, too, is held with Black 3D Foam Squares.

Then I added the label from Jillibean Soup’s Macho Nacho collection, which was sanded around the edges to give it a rough, masculine look. Check out the side view image:

So now for the really good stuff:
