Hi, Margie<\/a> here today! With Father’s Day tomorrow, I thought it would be fun to share a masculine-themed card, HIYA Card, today that would fit any occasion. Add a spritz of ink and a bold sentiment, you have yourself an impactful card!<\/p>\n

Create the HIYA Panel and Card Base<\/h2>\n

Fold a piece of 8.5 x 5.5 in. white cardstock in half to create a side fold A2-size (4.25 x 5.5 in.) card base. Trim the patterned paper to 4.25 x 5.5 in. to cover the card front and ink the edges with Distress Oxide Ink in Scorched Timber. Apply the E-Z Runner\u00ae Permanent Strips Dispenser<\/a> to the back of the patterned paper card panel and adhere to the card base.<\/p>\n

Designer\u2019s Tip:<\/strong> Ink the edges of the patterned paper panel and card front with matching ink color. This helps to keep the edges uniform.<\/p>\n

The Card Front Design<\/h2>\n

With Distress Oxide Spray in Scorched Timber, spritz the card panel for color and shine. When dried, add a film strip tape on the left side of the panel.<\/p>\n

HIYA Sentiment<\/h2>\n

Die-cut the word \u201cHIYA\u201d with the 3D Foam Creative Sheets Small White<\/a>. I used a bold font for a dynamic look. Center the letters onto the card front with a T-square ruler.<\/p>\n

Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside with 3D Foam Creative Sheets<\/h2>\n

Remove the top liner of the first letter and place the bronze foil from the Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Nature Colors<\/a> set over the exposed adhesive. Make sure the color side is facing you and gently rub\/tap the color into the letter. Remove the foil to reveal the color \u2013 beautiful! Reapply foil in missed areas. Repeat the foiling steps on the rest of the letters.<\/p>\n
