Do you have a charm on your bag? I’ve been seeing these in recent years and thought it would be cute to make one as a Bag Shaker Charm! Hi, Margie<\/a> here to show you how I made mine. This past summer, we created these with our retailer friends at a trade show reception hosted by us, Lawn Fawn and Catherine Pooler Design. The stores used theirs to decorate their badge holders. So, come join me!<\/p>\n

Gather Shaker Charm Supplies<\/h2>\n

Let’s die-cut all the things and gather other supporting materials together! Not pictured is using the Rick Rack Strip Die to cut a combination of wonderful pastel color cardstock strips.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

  1. Cut the largest Stitched Circle Tag with heavy weight white cardstock.<\/li>\n
  2. Cut the second largest Stitched Circle Frame with patterned papers from the Giddy for Gingham Collection.<\/li>\n
  3. Cut the third largest Circle Stackable with Clear Acetate.<\/li>\n
  4. Cut the two leaves from the Petals & Paisley Die Set with Melon Ice Cardstock<\/li>\n
  5. Cut the small six-petal flower, the large eight-petal flower from the Petals & Paisley Die Set with a combination of Blue Raspberry, It\u2019s a Girl or Sixteen Candles Cardstock.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The Butterfly Accent<\/h2>\n

    Stamp, Stencil + Die-cut the I Like Big Butterfly Stamp, Die & Coloring Stencils Set on white cardstock.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

    Prep the Shaker Base<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. On the white cardstock Stitched Circle Tag, ink and stamp the sentiment with Midnight ink and a stamp positioning tool. Designer\u2019s Tip:<\/em><\/strong> Use the embellishment (flowers, leaves + butterfly) to determine placement. Set aside.<\/li>\n
    2. Die-cut a combination of pastel color cardstock with the Rick Rack Strip Die and place several strips below the sentiment with the E-Z Dots\u00ae Permanent Refillable Dispenser<\/a>. Trim off excess.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        \n
      1. Secure the acetate circle onto the patterned paper Circle Frame with the E-Z Runner\u00ae Micro Refillable Dispenser<\/a>. Designer\u2019s Note:<\/strong> Use a crease tool\/bone folder to press the acetate into the adhesive.<\/li>\n
      2. Next, place the third largest 3D Foam Circle Frames White<\/a> on the acetate Circle Frame. Designer\u2019s Note:<\/strong> Keep the top liner is on when removing from the sheet. It helps to keep its shape when placing onto the Circle Frame.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Make the Shaker Charm Frame<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n

          \n
        1. Add the butterfly on the upper left side of frame with the E-Z Dots\u00ae Permanent Refillable Dispenser<\/a>.<\/li>\n
        2. Arrange 2 flowers + 2 leaves to the right side and secure all but the large flower<\/em> with the same adhesive.<\/li>\n
        3. Center the small dot on the corner of the 3D Foam Circle Frames White<\/a> on the small flower. Pop up the large flower with the small dot + frame from another corner of the same sheet.<\/li>\n
        4. Foil the flower centers with Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Pastel Colors<\/a>. Place foil color up over the exposed adhesive. Rub to transfer color. Peel to reveal foil. Use Powder Tool to eliminate the stick from the back of large flower.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Assemble the Shaker Charm Frame<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n
          \n

            \n
          1. Add a small pile of sequins on the center of white tag base.<\/li>\n
          2. Use Powder Tool around the frame before removing the liner and place on top of tag base. Press to secure.<\/li>\n
          3. Thread the Ocean Sparkle Cord through tag loop and DONE!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
