It’s Harvest season and love all the colors it represents. Today, I found a painted pumpkin on a canvas in my stash…yes, I’m trying to clean my craft space…SQUIRREL! LOL! Hi, Margie<\/a> here to share this Cute as a Button Pumpkin Canvas featuring Adhesive Dots 3D, 3D Foam Leaves and Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets COLOR…and of course, BUTTONS!<\/p>\n

Button Pumpkin Design<\/h2>\n

At a trade show, Buttons Galore & More gave me this canvas to play with. So I decided to use my Adhesive Dots to secure all these wonderful buttons, half pearls and sequins also given to me by the kind folks at Buttons Galore & More. I used a combination of Adhesive Dots Micro<\/a>, Adhesive Dots Mini<\/a>, Adhesive Dots Medium<\/a> and Adhesive Dots 3D<\/a>. Designer’s Tip:<\/strong> Use a gem picker! Such a helper!!<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

On each side of the pumpkin, I used only buttons to keep a consistent texture and look. These buttons were secured with the Adhesive Dots 3D<\/a>. Designer’s Tip:<\/strong> For extra security, I briefly blasted the heating tool on the back of the canvas to melt the Adhesive Dots 3D<\/a> into the buttons (think globs of glue gun glue! lol!).<\/p>\n

Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside with 3D Foam Leaves<\/h2>\n

For extra shine and more dimension, I placed a medium leaf from the 3D Foam Leaves<\/a> on the upper right side of the pumpkin stem. I wrinkle a piece of green foil from the Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Pastel Colors<\/a> and after removing the top liner, I place the foil color side facing me. Rub to transfer the color to the leaf and you’ll see the distress lines (which is exposed adhesive).<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Next, I place a piece of green foil from the Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Variety Colors<\/a> over the leaf (color side up), rub to transfer the color into the exposed adhesive. Peel off to reveal the marble design! I changed my mind…I layered another smaller leaf from the 3D Foam Leaves<\/a> instead of what is pictured. Repeat the foiling steps. Done!<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
