Hello everyone!<\/p>\n

It’s Kelly here to share a Back To School layout I designed using the wonderful new 3D Designer Shapes.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>I used 4 different Designer Shapes on this layout, and they are all covered with silver glitter.<\/p>\n

The 3D Foam Wings and 3D Foam Hearts:<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The 3D Foam Frames :<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>And those black chevrons or arrows? \u00a0They are Black Photo Corners, snipped a little bit!<\/p>\n

I just love the 3D Foam Stars, which are packaged nesting inside one another so you have all sizes and solids and outlines too!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

If you look closely, you can see a glittery border all along the edge of the white text paper layer. \u00a0I created that subtle shimmery border with Crafty Power Tape and clear iridescent glitter.<\/p>\n

Here’s a step by step of photos where I will now show you how to create these stars. \u00a0There\u00a0are only a few supplies you need:<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>1. \u00a0Place one of the star ‘outlines’ onto some paper or card stock:<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>2. \u00a0Lift off the backing:<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>3. \u00a0Add glitter<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>4. Rub or ‘burnish’ the glitter onto the sticky foam with your finger.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>5. \u00a0Brush off excess glitter.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>(I used a glitter tray to catch the mess!)<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>6. \u00a0Cut out star, closely to the edges.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>And that’s it! \u00a0You now have a custom made star embellishment for your project!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The beauty is that you can use any color of paper and glitter! \u00a0So “reach for the STARS”….and have some fun with these new\u00a0Designer Shapes!<\/p>\n

Finding inspiration from nature, colours and my photos, I enjoy developing creative techniques and organic design elements that are original and intriguing.\u201d She loves to spend time exploring crafting in artistic mediums, playing with paper and imagining unique designs. She currently writes regular feature articles and designs for a scrapbooking magazine. Along with writing, Kelly is passionate about teaching. A former high school English teacher, she is happiest in a classroom, crafting together and having a few laughs. \u201cI always enjoy teaching in my local scrapbook stores as well as larger scrapbooking events. She currently writes regular feature articles and designs for a scrapbooking magazine. Along with writing, Kelly is passionate about teaching.
