And just like that we are over Valentines! \ud83d\ude09 \u00a0Happy Saturday- AJ here to share with you a Birthday card using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L’s new 3D Foam Party Shapes<\/a>!!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"AJOtto-Birthday-1\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I was in need of a birthday card for my father in law, so I opted for a less is more, masculine styled card.
\n\"AJOtto-Birthday-2\"<\/a>I\u00a0decided I wanted to use the ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment in the 3D Foam Party Shapes<\/a> set, so I cut that part out. \u00a0\"AJOtto-Birthday-3\"<\/a>I usually place my designer shapes onto a scrap piece of backing and cover them with glitter, so I decided to pull the foam around the letters off for ease.<\/p>\n

\"AJOtto-Birthday-4\"<\/a>And then as I usually do, I changed my mind. \u00a0\ud83d\ude09 \u00a0I decided glittered letters were a tad too sparkly for my father in law. \u00a0So, I opted on a simple heat emboss using white embossing powder. \u00a0I adhered the foam shapes to my card stock. \u00a0Since I had planned on using it on a angle I penciled in a line to follow along and keep the letters straight.<\/p>\n

\"AJOtto-Birthday-5\"<\/a>Remove backing from the letters, and cover with embossing powder and heat set.<\/p>\n

\"AJOtto-Birthday-6\"<\/a>I also decided to change my card base to white- and have a blue matting. I use E-Z Squares\u00ae Refillable<\/a> to adhere my blue layer to my card front.
\n<\/a><\/p>\n

\"AJOtto-Birthday-7\"<\/a>I then used some Dodz\u2122 Small<\/a> to hold my twine down on the backside of my card stock layer.
\n\"AJOtto-Birthday-8\"<\/a><\/p>\n

To pop it up and add a little dimension, use a few strips of Crafty Foam Tape in Black<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Here’s hoping he enjoys it! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
