Hello! Kimberly here today, with gold foil, again. I cannot help myself. Its just so pretty! And today’s technique is pretty cool and easy to achieve when you use 4×6 Adhesive Sheets<\/a> from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L!<\/p>\n

\"gold<\/a><\/p>\n

Knowing that I wanted to emboss a banner shape into my cardstock (and eventually fill it with gold), I die cut a banner three times from a piece of backing from a stamp set. (Yay to using what I had laying around!) Then I adhered them together using E-Z Runner Permanent Strips Refillable<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Once the pieces were all stacked together, I used it to emboss my cardstock. I placed the banner piece onto my base plate and my cardstock over the top. Then I passed it through my manual die cutting machine, with my embossing mat and plates. And you can see the impression left behind. (Note: this is the embossed<\/em><\/strong> side in the image. I flipped my cardstock over and used the debossed<\/em><\/strong> side for my project.)<\/p>\n

I wanted to fill my debossed space with gold foil, which is really where this whole crazy idea started from. I knew that if I die cut a piece of a 4×6 Adhesive Sheet<\/a> with the banner die template, I would have the exact same image!<\/p>\n

I peeled away the yellow backing and placed the adhesive side down into my debossed banner image.<\/p>\n

Before I peeled away the white backing to reveal the adhesive, I gently rubbed the white backing to ensure that the adhesive was completely on the cardstock. I placed the foil over the adhesive repeatedly until I achieved my desired coverage.<\/p>\n

Here is a close up look. I think its pretty cool! Imagine the possibilities! All your die templates could be used for this technique! Along with glitter, flock, and any other medium you can apply to your Adhesive Sheets<\/a>!<\/p>\n
