{"id":15781,"date":"2014-04-10T06:00:22","date_gmt":"2014-04-10T11:00:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/?p=15781"},"modified":"2017-06-11T22:41:12","modified_gmt":"2017-06-12T03:41:12","slug":"butterfly-box-frame","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/2014\/04\/10\/butterfly-box-frame\/","title":{"rendered":"Butterfly Box Frame"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0Hi, it is Christine here today with a butterfly box frame. \u00a0I&#8217;m a butterfly addict so when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/\">Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L<\/a><em>\u00ae<\/em>\u00a0brought out their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/products\/3d-foam-butterflies-1\">3D Foam Butterflies<\/a> I was over the moon!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/C-Emberson-Butterfly-Frame-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-15785\" alt=\"C Emberson - Butterfly Frame 1\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/C-Emberson-Butterfly-Frame-1.jpg\" width=\"358\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/C-Emberson-Butterfly-Frame-1.jpg 358w, https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/C-Emberson-Butterfly-Frame-1-214x300.jpg 214w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 358px) 100vw, 358px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">For my project I firstly selected a little wooden box frame, one pack of 3D Foam Butterflies and some script paper (Fancy Pants &#8211; Swagger collection).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/C-Emberson-Butterfly-Frame-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-15787\" alt=\"C Emberson - Butterfly Frame 2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/C-Emberson-Butterfly-Frame-2.jpg\" width=\"215\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I cut the paper to size and inserted it into the frame behind the glass.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/C-Emberson-Butterfly-Frame-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-15789\" alt=\"C Emberson - Butterfly Frame 3\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/C-Emberson-Butterfly-Frame-3.jpg\" width=\"214\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Next I removed the butterflies from the backing paper and placed them down sticky side up. I then covered them with some gilding\u00a0flakes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/C-Emberson-Butterfly-Frame-4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-15791\" alt=\"C Emberson - Butterfly Frame 4\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/C-Emberson-Butterfly-Frame-4.jpg\" width=\"195\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Using a small paint brush, I removed the excess leaving a\u00a0lovely golden coating.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/C-Emberson-Butterfly-Frame-5.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-15793\" alt=\"C Emberson - Butterfly Frame 5\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/C-Emberson-Butterfly-Frame-5.jpg\" width=\"196\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Next, I cut\/embossed foliage &#8211; Sprigs from Spellbinders<em>\u00ae<\/em>\u00a0and Blooms Three.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/C-Emberson-Butterfly-Frame-6.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-15795\" alt=\"C Emberson - Butterfly Frame 6\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/C-Emberson-Butterfly-Frame-6.jpg\" width=\"199\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/products\/3d-foam-squares-white-small\">3D Foam Squares &#8211; White, Small<\/a>\u00a0stick perfectly to glass and you can trim them to fit smaller die cuts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/C-Emberson-Butterfly-Frame-7.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-15797\" alt=\"C Emberson - Butterfly Frame 7\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/C-Emberson-Butterfly-Frame-7.jpg\" width=\"217\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I added a line of crystal gems to the middle of the gilded butterflies, opted for silver butterflies too.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/C-Emberson-Butterfly-Frame-8.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-15799\" alt=\"C Emberson - Butterfly Frame 8\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/C-Emberson-Butterfly-Frame-8.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"276\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">For the sentiment, I stamped this onto card and adhered with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/products\/crafty-power-tape-20-slash-6m-roll\">Crafty Power Tape<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; Sometimes a glass of red wine helps with creativity, but of course, she drinks quite a lot of tea, of course! Christine loves Crafty Power Tape, and uses it on all projects from cards, scrapbook pages, tags and more. \u201cI am guaranteed perfect adhesion and I will not get stressed trying to lift off the backing!\u201d Christine has a little shop\/studio where occasionally she teaches classes. \u201cIt is enormously satisfying to come up with a project, share it with others and see the delight on their faces as they are creating.\u201d Christine has been on manufacturers design teams, and appeared on craft TV in the UK. Sometimes a glass of red wine helps with creativity, but of course, she drinks quite a lot of tea, of course! Christine loves Crafty Power Tape, and uses it on all projects from cards, scrapbook pages, tags and more. \u201cI am guaranteed perfect adhesion and I will not get stressed trying to lift off the backing!\u201d Christine has a little shop\/studio where occasionally she teaches classes. \u201cIt is enormously satisfying to come up with a project, share it with others and see the delight on their faces as they are creating.\u201d Christine has been on manufacturers design teams, and appeared on craft TV in the UK.
