I have been experimenting with metals (metal\/aluminum sheets) the last few days. I&#8217;m not going to lie, metal sheets are a little hard for me to work with, so playing with this type of material, helps to stretch my creativity. I made this super cute money or gift card holder.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-18785 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/LY-0812-metal4ucard-500x500.jpg\" alt=\"Metal Money or Gift Card Holder Tutorial\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" data-pin-description=\"Metal Money or Gift Card Holder using die cuts, metal and embossing folders, along with adhesives that stick to metal: Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L products, tutorial on blog. #sbadhesivesby3l #giftcard #giftgiving #metal #diecutting #diy #handmade #gift #tutorial #tishayoast #scrapbookadhesivesby3l\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/LY-0812-metal4ucard-500x500.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/LY-0812-metal4ucard-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/LY-0812-metal4ucard-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Using metal sheets, dies, a few embellishments and adhesives that I thought would work well with this kind of material, I made this bright &amp; shiny money holder\/gift card.<\/p>\n<h2>How to Make the Metal Money or Gift Card Holder<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-18787\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/LY-0812-metal4ucollage-300x75.jpg\" alt=\"LY 0812 metal4ucollage\" width=\"500\" height=\"125\" data-pin-description=\"Metal Money or Gift Card Holder using die cuts, metal and embossing folders, along with adhesives that stick to metal: Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L products, tutorial on blog. #sbadhesivesby3l #giftcard #giftgiving #metal #diecutting #diy #handmade #gift #tutorial #tishayoast #scrapbookadhesivesby3l\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/LY-0812-metal4ucollage-300x75.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/LY-0812-metal4ucollage-500x125.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>1. \u00a0Trim metal sheet to size (so there is no waste) and cut an Adhesive Sheet the same size.<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/products\/adhesive-sheets-6-x-12-slash-15-x-30-5cm\"> Adhesive Sheets<\/a> are double sided, so carefully peel off the yellow top, and adhere it to the back of the metal sheet.<\/p>\n<p>3. \u00a0Die cut the metal sheet.<\/p>\n<p>4. \u00a0Die cut a piece of double sided pattern paper using the same die (you will need 2 of these).<\/p>\n<p>5. \u00a0Peel off the adhesive sheet protector on the back of the metal diecut, and adhere is to the pattern paper.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-18789 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/LY-0812-metal4ucollage2-500x166.jpg\" alt=\"LY 0812 metal4ucollage2\" width=\"500\" height=\"166\" data-pin-description=\"Metal Money or Gift Card Holder using die cuts, metal and embossing folders, along with adhesives that stick to metal: Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L products, tutorial on blog. #sbadhesivesby3l #giftcard #giftgiving #metal #diecutting #diy #handmade #gift #tutorial #tishayoast #scrapbookadhesivesby3l\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/LY-0812-metal4ucollage2-500x166.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/LY-0812-metal4ucollage2-300x100.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>6. \u00a0Diecut another piece of metal. \u00a0Cut the bottom off so its around 1 1\/2 inches tall.<\/p>\n<p>7. \u00a0Using\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/products\/crafty-power-tape-81-slash-25m-with-built-in-dispenser\">Crafty Power Tape<\/a>, place two strip on the back of the cut metal die cut.<\/p>\n<p>8. \u00a0Adhere to the remaining paper die cut.<\/p>\n<p>9. \u00a0Using a smaller banner die, die cut 2 yellow metal banners. \u00a0Place <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/products\/3d-foam-squares-white-regular-size\">3D Foam Squares<\/a> on the back, and adhere to the front embossed die cut.<\/p>\n<p>10. \u00a0I used old alphabet chipboard letters that lost its adhesive, so I placed\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/products\/3d-foam-squares-white-regular-size\">3D Foam Squares<\/a> on the back of the letters. \u00a0I had to trim the squares a little using scissors.<\/p>\n<p>11. \u00a0Apply sequins to the card front using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/products\/dodz-small-1\">Adhesive Dots Small<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>12.
