Hello Everyone!\u00a0 It’s Kelly<\/a> here today to share a Christmas card design using the 3D Foam Snowflakes<\/a>.\u00a0 I don’t know about your winter weather, but where I live, we just got through a 3-day blizzard!\u00a0 So it’s only fitting that I feature a pretty snowflake on a card.<\/p>\n

My card design is based on a sketch from the Bazzill Basics Paper blog.\u00a0 To create this card, I first cut and adhered my layers together with my E-Z Runner\u2122 Permanent Strips.<\/a>
\n\"kellyklapstein-merry-3\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Then I added my ribbon using Dodz\u2122 Medium<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"kellyklapstein-merry-2\"<\/a><\/p>\n

To alter the 3D Foam Snowflake<\/a> and snowballs, I used microbeads.<\/p>\n

Here’s a tip when working with the intricate 3D Foam Snowflakes<\/a>: Lift up each ‘branch’ of the snowflake with your non-stick scissors or tweezers gently and then the entire snowflake can be removed from the foam sheet without being torn or warped.

After placing the 3D Foam Snowflake<\/a> onto a cut out circle, I removed the backing and pressed down into a small container of microbeads. Really press hard over and over again for maximum coverage and sticking strength!<\/p>\n

I love this effect!<\/p>\n

I adhered this snowflake circle to my card with my white Crafty Foam Tape<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I placed the snowball polka dots around and added the microbeads to them too.<\/p>\n

I think the microbeads look so pretty on the 3D Foam Snowflake<\/a> and snowballs!<\/p>\n

She currently writes regular feature articles and designs for a scrapbooking magazine. Along with writing, Kelly is passionate about teaching.
