Happy Spring everyone! \u00a0It’s Kelly Klapstein here, and I’m excited to share a different kind of project than I usually make. \u00a0Here is a mixed media canvas I designed using lots of pretty 3D Foam Designer Shapes<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Here are some close ups and details about how I altered all the different 3D Foam Shapes<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I added blue and yellow glitter to the 3D Foam Butterfly<\/a>, and I heat embossed the 3D Foam Pennants<\/a> with pink and white glitter embossing powder.<\/p>\n

The 3D Foam Leaves<\/a> are covered with green flocking. \u00a0After fussy cutting the floral patterned paper, I pressed Adhesive Sheets<\/a> on top and then adhered clear microbeads.All of the floral paper pieces are layered with Crafty Foam Tape<\/a> and 3D Foam Squares<\/a>.<\/p>\n

My ‘Spring’ title was cut with my electric die cut machine. \u00a0I put an Adhesive Sheet<\/a> onto my patterned paper before cutting, and then removed the backing afterwards and applied clear glitter. \u00a0 This made my title sparkle!<\/p>\n

The little flower with flocking that is dotting the ‘i’ in ‘Spring’ is from the 3D Garden Shapes.<\/a><\/p>\n

It’s always nice to have some spring home decor on display to celebrate the end of winter!<\/p>\n

Finding inspiration from nature, colours and my photos, I enjoy developing creative techniques and organic design elements that are original and intriguing.\u201d She loves to spend time exploring crafting in artistic mediums, playing with paper and imagining unique designs. She currently writes regular feature articles and designs for a scrapbooking magazine. Along with writing, Kelly is passionate about teaching. A former high school English teacher, she is happiest in a classroom, crafting together and having a few laughs. \u201cI always enjoy teaching in my local scrapbook stores as well as larger scrapbooking events. She currently writes regular feature articles and designs for a scrapbooking magazine. Along with writing, Kelly is passionate about teaching.
