In order to make this luminary, I adapted what is known as a 2-5-7-10 box. If you search the internet, you are sure to find directions to making a 2-5-7-10 box. For this project, I will explain what I did to adapt it so that you can make your own!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2637 \" src=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/lum.jpg\" alt=\"Halloween Luminary DIY by Kristen Cohen for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L\" width=\"498\" height=\"538\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/lum.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/lum-277x300.jpg 277w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 498px) 100vw, 498px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I started by cutting a piece of wax paper to 8 \u00bd x 11.\u00a0 Place the paper in landscape orientation, and from the left to right, score at 2\u201d, 5\u201d, 7\u201d and 10\u201d.\u00a0 Turn the paper vertically, and then score at 2\u201d and 7\u201d.\u00a0 Then, cut as noted in the photo:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2636\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/images\/wordpress\/uploads\/2011\/10\/cutlines-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Halloween Luminary - Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Blog\" width=\"424\" height=\"318\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/cutlines-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/cutlines.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 424px) 100vw, 424px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You should be left with something that looks like this:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/images\/wordpress\/uploads\/2011\/10\/lum2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-2639 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/images\/wordpress\/uploads\/2011\/10\/lum2-300x180.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"432\" height=\"259\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/lum2-300x180.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/lum2.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 432px) 100vw, 432px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Next, I applied <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/products\/crafty-power-tape-81-slash-25m-with-built-in-dispenser\">Crafty Power Tape<\/a> to a strip that I had border punched.\u00a0 I adhered this to what will be the bottom of the bag.\u00a0 This will provide a little extra stability and help the bag to retain its shape.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2640 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/lum3-300x187.jpg\" alt=\"Halloween Luminary - Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Blog\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/lum7-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/lum7.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The last step is to close up the bottom flaps (yup, you guessed it!
