This is my first post here in 2016 so let me say &#8216;Happy New Year!&#8217; (it&#8217;s still January so I think I&#8217;m allowed lol). Today I have an art tag for you with a beautiful shimmery background I made using gorgeous pigment powders.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-29627\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Today-is-a-good-day-tag_Asia-King1.jpg\" alt=\"Today is a good day tag_Asia King1\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Today-is-a-good-day-tag_Asia-King1.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Today-is-a-good-day-tag_Asia-King1-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Today-is-a-good-day-tag_Asia-King1-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I started my background by covering a manila tag with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/products\/adhesive-sheets-4-x-6-slash-10-x-15cm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Adhesive Sheets 4&#215;6&#8243;<\/a>. I peeled the protective sheet off in stages, tearing sections off one at a time and covering them\u00a0with different colours of\u00a0Pigment Powders. From the bottom up I used Silver,\u00a0Brown, Wine, Gold, Pink, Gold\u00a0again,\u00a0Brown\u00a0and Silver.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-29631\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Today-is-a-good-day-tag_Asia-King3.jpg\" alt=\"Today is a good day tag_Asia King3\" width=\"500\" height=\"345\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Today-is-a-good-day-tag_Asia-King3.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Today-is-a-good-day-tag_Asia-King3-300x207.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Next I stamped the script with Chiffon ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. The Pigment Powders reacted with the ink and heat embossing in different ways creating cool colour variations. Next, I added a few pieces of Ash Washi Tape and added some black rub-ons.<\/p>\n<p>I tucked\u00a0my flower bouquet in a little canvas bag embellishment but if you don&#8217;t have one it would be really easy to make your own using Canvas Ribbons. To secure my flower basket I used layers of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/products\/dodz-3d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">DODZ 3D<\/a>. I then\u00a0added a seam binding ribbon\u00a0hand dyed with my DIY Pigment Powder shimmer mists.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-29629\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Today-is-a-good-day-tag_Asia-King2.jpg\" alt=\"Today is a good day tag_Asia King2\" width=\"500\" height=\"348\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Today-is-a-good-day-tag_Asia-King2.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Today-is-a-good-day-tag_Asia-King2-300x209.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I also added a small Lace Ribbon trim under the basket adhered with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/products\/adhesive-sheets-4-x-6-slash-10-x-15cm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Adhesive Sheets 4&#215;6&#8243;<\/a>.
