{"id":3090,"date":"2012-01-02T08:00:51","date_gmt":"2012-01-02T14:00:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/?p=3090"},"modified":"2017-07-19T14:09:26","modified_gmt":"2017-07-19T19:09:26","slug":"altered-photo-box","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/2012\/01\/02\/altered-photo-box\/","title":{"rendered":"Altered Photo Box"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello Everyone!\u00a0 Well, I&#8217;m sure most of use are winding\u00a0 down from the Holidays now.\u00a0 What a perfect time for a fun, creative (no stress) project.\u00a0\u00a0 This was so fun to make. I just laid my papers out where I thought I wanted them, and added photos and other\u00a0 fun things as I went.<\/p>\n<p>I wanted to create a project to hold some recent photos I took of my nephew and his family.\u00a0\u00a0 I found this box at a second hand store.\u00a0 Loving to re purpose anything, I snatched it up.\u00a0 Sometimes you have to look past your first impression when you see something.. and just think about what it &#8220;could be&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>This was bad!\u00a0 I wish I would have taken a &#8220;before&#8221; picture.\u00a0 It\u00a0 was mauve and country blue, and had little people and sheep. lol\u00a0 Also wooden letters that said &#8220;Bless my County Kitchen&#8221;.\u00a0 I used <strong>Fancy Pants &#8220;Winterland&#8221; <\/strong>line for this project and Scrapbook Adhesives Adhesives.\u00a0 I even got to use one of the new\u00a0 products that will be released at CHA.\u00a0 Shhhh&#8230; but I have to tell you, I totally loved it for projects just like this.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve always loved the white foam tape for projects that I want to add dimension too..but now&#8230; we&#8217;ll have the choice of white or black.\u00a0 For a project like this.. where I&#8217;m using darker colors , it was great!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/images\/wordpress\/uploads\/2011\/12\/Photo-box.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3091\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/images\/wordpress\/uploads\/2011\/12\/Photo-box.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"231\" height=\"299\" \/><\/a>You can see in the photos below how great it is for added lift and dimension to longer borders, photos and for adding trims.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/images\/wordpress\/uploads\/2011\/12\/IMG_4359.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3092\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/images\/wordpress\/uploads\/2011\/12\/IMG_4359.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"350\" height=\"525\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/IMG_4359.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/IMG_4359-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Of course I used my handy dandy MyStik\u00ae for the non dimensional pieces I was adding ,\u00a0 and Crafty Power Tape for the longer pieces and ribbon.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/images\/wordpress\/uploads\/2011\/12\/IMG_4357.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3093\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/images\/wordpress\/uploads\/2011\/12\/IMG_4357.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"350\" height=\"525\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/IMG_4357.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/IMG_4357-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/><\/a>It always feels good to take something someone else has discarded\u00a0 and making something fun and new with it ..that you just know will make someone smile.\u00a0 I can wait to give it to them \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Thanks for stopping by<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.vickichrisman.blogspot.com\/\">Vicki Chrisman<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"border-radius: 2px; text-indent: 20px; width: auto; padding: 0px 4px 0px 0px; text-align: center; font: bold 11px\/20px 'Helvetica Neue',Helvetica,sans-serif; color: #ffffff; background: #bd081c  no-repeat scroll 3px 50% \/ 14px 14px; position: absolute; opacity: 1; z-index: 8675309; display: none; cursor: pointer; top: 873px; left: 165px;\">Save<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello Everyone!\u00a0 Well, I&#8217;m sure most of use are winding\u00a0 down from the Holidays now.\u00a0 What a perfect time for a fun, creative (no stress) project.\u00a0\u00a0 This was so fun to make.
