{"id":33183,"date":"2016-06-15T05:00:29","date_gmt":"2016-06-15T10:00:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/?p=33183"},"modified":"2017-05-19T09:32:47","modified_gmt":"2017-05-19T14:32:47","slug":"glittered-thank-you-card-using-adhesive-sheets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/2016\/06\/15\/glittered-thank-you-card-using-adhesive-sheets\/","title":{"rendered":"Glittered Thank You Card using Adhesive Sheets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hiya! \u00a0AJ here today to show one of my favorite ways to quickly add glitter to your die cuts. \u00a0It&#8217;s wedding season, grad season, dad season; etc. \u00a0With all those gifts going around, sometimes a thank you card is in need.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-33187\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/AJOtto-TY-002.jpg\" alt=\"AJOtto-TY-002\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/AJOtto-TY-002.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/AJOtto-TY-002-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/AJOtto-TY-002-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Sometimes you just need to add glitter to a die cut. \u00a0These things happen in our hobby. \u00a0\ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-33185\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/AJOtto-TY-2-500x390.jpg\" alt=\"AJOtto-TY-2\" width=\"500\" height=\"390\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/AJOtto-TY-2.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/AJOtto-TY-2-300x234.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The EASIEST way to make this happen is to use your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/products\/adhesive-sheets-6-x-12-slash-15-x-30-5cm\">Adhesives Sheets<\/a> with your dies! \u00a0Pull the yellow liner backing away and press your card stock\u00a0in to place. \u00a0I often will burnish it with a bone folder to smooth it all out, not necessary, but out of habit it&#8217;s what I do. \ud83d\ude09<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-33189\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/AJOtto-TY-3-500x380.jpg\" alt=\"AJOtto-TY-3\" width=\"500\" height=\"380\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/AJOtto-TY-3.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/AJOtto-TY-3-300x228.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Lay your die, cutting side into the white side of the adhesive sheet and run through your die cutting machine.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-33191\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/AJOtto-TY-4-500x349.jpg\" alt=\"AJOtto-TY-4\" width=\"500\" height=\"349\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/AJOtto-TY-4.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/AJOtto-TY-4-300x209.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/> Gently peel back the white lining and you can start sprinkling glitter all over the exposed area. \u00a0I usually try and leave a piece to hold onto, pulling it off section by section. Her favorite treat is mint Frangos, and loves a tall Americano from Starbucks. (Typical Seattleite) She tends to make cards, although she recently has gotten back into beading, and is rekindling her desire to learn photography better.
