It\u2019s Erica and today I\u2019m sharing a fun and simple way to use 3D Foam Frames<\/a> to create a cute shaker card! Before I made\u00a0this shaker card I read and watched several tutorials to see how others were creating shaker cards. I was amazed at\u00a0how complex the instructions seemed to be, I decided there had to be a\u00a0simpler way…guess what? There is! Our\u00a03D Foam Frames<\/a>\u00a0are\u00a0the perfect solution – check out my tutorial below!<\/p>\n

I started by cutting a 4.25 x 5.5\u201d rectangle and adhered it to the base of my card using the E-Z Runner\u00ae Ultra Refillable Dispenser<\/a>. Next, I cut a 3.75 x 5\u201d rectangle \u2013 creating a second layer \u2013 as well as a 3 x 4\u201d journaling card.<\/p>\n

Next, I selected one of the\u00a03D Foam Frames<\/a> that fit the perimeter of the 3 x 4\u201d journaling card. Once the 3D Foam Frame was in place I sprinkled a few sequins onto the journaling card.<\/p>\n

I then removed the paper covering from\u00a0the 3D Foam Frames<\/a> (i.e.,\u00a0the adhesive was showing) and placed a 3 x 4\u201d transparency on top. I pressed the transparency down firmly ensuring it was completely adhered\u00a0to the 3D Foam Frames<\/a>\u00a0– I didn’t want my sequins to escape!<\/p>\n

I wanted to give my shaker piece a clean look so I placed Premium Double-Sided Tape 1\/8″ Permanent<\/a> along all four edges and then covered it with\u00a0pattern paper. I considered my shaker complete and adhered it using the E-Z Runner\u00ae Ultra Refillable Dispenser<\/a>\u00a0to the 3.75 x 5\u201d rectangle. (Remember our\u00a0E-Z Runner\u00ae Ultra Refillable Dispenser<\/a>\u00a0is really strong so it’s perfect for adhering those heaver items when creating).<\/p>\n

To finish my card I tied a black and white checkered bow and added a white button. Finally, I adhered the 3.75 x 5\u201d rectangle using the E-Z Runner\u00ae Ultra Refillable Dispenser<\/a>\u00a0to the\u00a0base of my card.<\/p>\n

\"AThat’s it! Not only is it simple it’s cute too!<\/p>\n

My papercrafting style is shabby-chic \u2013 I love glitter, rhinestones, and anything else that has glitz, glamour and a lot of sparkle. I\u2019m totally addicted to patterned paper so I\u2019ve resorted to using lots of layers in order to use all of the wonderful papers that come in each collection. I never feel my pages are complete until I\u2019ve added flowers, ribbon and machine stitching. I enjoy creating a variety of projects including layouts, cards, tags, off the page projects and a mini album every now and then. In addition to creating for various design teams I also enjoy teaching classes at LSS\u2019s because I love sharing my passion for papercrafting with others.
