Hello everyone!\u00a0 I have a technique to\u00a0share using E-Z Dots\u00ae Repositionable Refillable Dispenser<\/a>\u00a0and watercolors to make a watercolor dots card.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0This card has an abstract and kind of funky background!\u00a0 Let your imagination run wild with this technique!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

As you can see my background is pretty abstract and funky!<\/p>\n

How to Use E-Z Dots Repositionable as a Mask<\/h2>\n

First, I\u00a0placed my\u00a0E-Z Dots\u00ae Repositionable Refill<\/a> in my E-Z Runner\u00ae Ultra Refillable Dispenser<\/a>\u00a0(All the E-Z Runner refills\u00a0can be used in any\u00a0of the E-Z Runner\u00a0Refillable\u00a0dispensers).\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0I used it\u00a0<\/em>to apply wavy lines of adhesive over a piece of mixed media paper.\u00a0 I chose that paper because it handles moisture well.\u00a0 Watercolor paper could also be used.\u00a0 I placed it on scrap paper so I could run the adhesive off the edge. The E-Z Dots are being used as a mask, not as an adhesive!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Then I brushed on watercolor, starting with blue.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Then added yellow…..<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

and rusty orange…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

I dried it with a heat gun and then rubbed off\u00a0the E-Z Dots\u00ae Repositionable<\/a> adhesive with my finger. Just a gently swirl removes the dots to reveal the white paper.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Replace the E-Z Runner Ultra refill<\/a> into the E-Z Runner\u00ae Ultra Refillable Dispenser<\/a> and use it to fasten it to a white card.<\/p>\n

Stamp the verse with black ink on white cardstock. After I cut out the pieces, I brushed rusty orange watercolor along the edges. The verse pieces were fastened with E-Z Runner\u00ae Micro Refillable Dispenser<\/a>. The narrow adhesive line is perfect for small pieces!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

To finish the card, I added\u00a0black accent lines at edges of the verse pieces with Neon Amplify!\u00a0 Simple card design with fun background!<\/p>\n

Here are\u00a02 cards with\u00a0plaid looking\u00a0backgrounds using the same technique.\"\"<\/p>\n
