Today is a beautiful day for recycling and decorating jars to bring nature into our homes!\u00a0Hi everyone, Christine<\/a> here today with a home decor project idea.<\/p>\n

There’s something very natural and pretty about re-using a jar and filling it with flowers. It can be made even better by adding just a few decorations. Today I’m using Crafty Power Tape<\/a>, Extreme Double-Sided Tape 1\/4″<\/a>, 3D Foam Square White Regular<\/a> and MyStik\u00ae Permanent Strips<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"Recycling<\/p>\n

Recycling and Decorating Jars<\/h2>\n

I started by cutting a strip of cotton (I didn’t worry that it needed ironing – adds to the natural look! LOL!) \u00a0I applied two lines of Crafty Power Tape<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Easy to remove the backing from this tape and wrap around the jar, it affixes perfectly.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

To adhere the textured ribbon I selected Extreme Double-Sided Tape, 1\/4″ Permanent<\/a>. This is extremely tacky and ideal for so many surfaces.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

For an additional decoration piece, I chose a mini wooden heart and to keep it in place I used\u00a03D Foam Square, White Regular<\/a>. Perfect!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

I chose to decorate a second jar, again with cotton and this time a die cut heart affixed with\u00a0MyStik\u00ae Permanent Strips<\/a>. \u00a0You can decorate as little or as much as you wish, it’s fun to put your personal stamp on a plain jar.<\/p>\n

The finished jars with some flowers from the garden.<\/p>\n

Perhaps place them on garden tables if you are having a barbecue or on your kitchen window sill to bring the garden into your home.<\/p>\n

Visualizing each as a gift for someone helps her go that extra mile. While locked away in her craft room, she always has a DVD playing, from her diverse collection from period dramas - Downton Abbey, Jane Austen to series like Boardwalk Empire and Game of Thrones. \u201cI always fast forward gory and scary bits!\u201d she laughs. Sometimes a glass of red wine helps with creativity, but of course, she drinks quite a lot of tea, of course! Christine loves Crafty Power Tape, and uses it on all projects from cards, scrapbook pages, tags and more. \u201cI am guaranteed perfect adhesion and I will not get stressed trying to lift off the backing!\u201d Christine has a little shop\/studio where occasionally she teaches classes. \u201cIt is enormously satisfying to come up with a project, share it with others and see the delight on their faces as they are creating.\u201d Christine has been on manufacturers design teams, and appeared on craft TV in the UK.
