Welcome back crafty friends! Today I have a simple card tutorial to share that can take your patterned paper from Drab to Fab. With Easter right around the corner I have been crafting with bunnies and eggs on the mind lately. I must admit, I don’t have a whole lot of Easter papers in my craft stash, but I did find this simple plaid pattern from an older birthday collection. Here is how I took it from plain and drab to Easter fab on this card.<\/p>\n

\"Fab \"\"<\/p>\n

Making a Drab Card to Fab!<\/h2>\n

This is the plain plaid patterned paper that I started with. It’s a bit drab, so I thought it needed a little dressing up.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Using the Extreme Double Sided Tape 1\/8 in<\/a>,\u00a0I added adhesive strips up the middle of all of the teal stripes in this plaid pattern.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Next I used a fine glitter and covered all of the Extreme Double Sided Tape 1\/8 inch<\/a> strips.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Tap and clean off all of the excess glitter. Revealing the perfect sparkle for this plaid paper.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

I added another pink cardstock mat before adhering all of the layers together on a white cards base using my E-Z Runner Ultra Strong<\/a> adhesive.<\/p>\n

\"\" \"\"<\/p>\n

The coloured a paintable image, it was matted in teal cardstock and then added to the card using Crafty Foam Tape<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

I used alcohol pens to add colour to the paintable image.<\/p>\n

She is married to her super talented band teacher husband, and has 2 beautiful teenage stepdaughters. Rounding out their crazy little family is a crazy rescue pooch, Kya. She\u2019s been crafting and artsy all her life, but her LOVE for scrapbooking started around 1999. She dabbles in mixed media, loves doodling, calligraphy and anything to do with paper. Aside from scrapbooking Tracy plays the French horn, loves the outdoors, photography and geocaching with the whole family.
