Today is World Ocean Day and I simply could not pass up the opportunity to create a fun, colorful card to honor the occasion.\u00a0 I’ve traveled various parts of the world and been up close and personal with many amazing sea creatures, on my snorkeling adventures.\u00a0 Hello, Terri<\/a> here, with foiling and dimensional tips for this oceanic card!<\/p>\n

\"Celebrate<\/p>\n

Create Die Cuts With Adhesive Sheets<\/h2>\n

Let me share some creative tips, starting with my die cut elements.\u00a0 \u00a0All of my images were stamped, then colored on mixed media paper, sized to accommodate my adhesive sheet.\u00a0 After applying the\u00a0Adhesive Sheets 6×12 inch<\/a>\u00a0to my paper, I then cut the images using my electric die cut machine.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Ocean Scene Foiling Tips<\/h2>\n

Before applying die cuts, we need to set the scene for this ocean card.\u00a0 First,\u00a0 I created a distress ink blended background onto an A2 sized piece of watercolor paper.\u00a0 Next, I applied various sizes of adhesive dots in a random pattern, including the Adhesive Dots Micro<\/a> and the Adhesive Dots Small.<\/a>\u00a0 \u00a0Add foil from the 3D Foam Creative Embellishment Kit,<\/a>\u00a0shiny side up and gently rub onto your adhesive dots,\u00a0 carefully lifting the foil.\u00a0 If you still have clear spots, place your foil back down and rub some more.\u00a0 \u00a0When I was finished, I decided to add small black foam circles from the 3D Foam Black Circles Mix<\/a>.\u00a0 This offers additional dimension, along with a shadow effect that is more visually appealing for my ocean theme.\u00a0 Plus, these are great ways to Wear Your Adhesive On The Outside!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Adhesive Sheets – To Peel Or Not To Peel?<\/h2>\n

Here’s a tip that will change your sticky life.\u00a0 Don’t peel the adhesive sheet backing on your popped up elements!\u00a0 \u00a0By leaving the backing in place, it offers the added benefit of stabilizing your image.\u00a0 Plus, you won’t have to worry about sticky elements adhering to your card on your popped up images.\u00a0 \u00a0Of course, go ahead and peel the backing on the cuts that will lie flat.\u00a0 I’ve used the 3D Foam Circles White Mix<\/a>, as you’ll see further down.<\/p>\n

Add Sparkle With the Dual Tip Glue Pen<\/h2>\n

To finish off this card add a touch of sequins using the\u00a0Dual Tip Glue Pen<\/a>, along with\u00a0a bit of glitter and glue on the fish.\u00a0 \u00a0Adhere the panel to an A2 card using the\u00a0E-Z Runner\u00ae Grand Refillable Dispenser<\/a>\u00a0and you are done!<\/p>\n
