Hey there everyone! Latrice Murphy<\/a> back with you all \ud83d\ude42  In true Summer fashion and following in the footsteps of retailers, I\u2019m already thinking about back to school! Crazy right? We\u2019ve been enjoying Summer here in the Chicago area, but this mama of three is going a little nutty. There is still lots we want to do, but I\u2019m looking forward to my quiet time again.<\/p>\n

As a photographer it\u2019s important to me to get a First Day of School photo each year. This past year I snapped photos of my boys before they went off to school together. I love this electronic cut file in a hexagon motif that I used it to complete this First Day of School Scrapbook Page. Enjoy the process and all the colors on this one!<\/p>\n

Beginnings of a First Day of School Scrapbook Page<\/h2>\n

I began this layout by cutting the chosen hexagon design from white cardstock as well as school themed patterned paper. Then using scissors I cut each hexagon out and placed them over the white to add more color and patterns to just the one die cut. I love this mix of patterns and colors.<\/p>\n

I printed two 4 x 6-inch First Day of School photos for the larger open hexagon designs. With the Dual Tip Glue Pen<\/a>, adhere the photos to the back. Then I secured the photo even more with strips of E-Z Runner\u00ae Grand Refillable Dispenser<\/a> to the patterned paper. Trim off any excess photo you don\u2019t need.<\/p>\n

Next add a ton of 3D Foam Squares<\/a> to the entire back of your die cut piece with patterned paper and photos. Place this centered on the page and embellish away with coordinating cardstock stickers and shapes. Check out the finished page and details.<\/p>\n

Next on this layout I cut thin strips of school themed patterned paper to create a border on all four sides of the layout. I chose a bold solid blue for the backing.<\/p>\n
