Hello blog friends! Judy<\/a><\/strong> here with a Shiny Merry Christmas card with greenery. Before the pressure of the holidays is upon us, I like to experiment with a few different Christmas card designs around this time of year. This is one of my first for the season. What do you think?<\/p>\n

Make the Shiny Merry Christmas<\/h2>\n

For the top layer of the background I have with a grid design die cut, using black cardstock and applying water reactive ink on it. I like the way it looks! Adhere this piece over dusty sage green cardstock, using a combination of E-Z Dots\u00ae Permanent Refillable Dispenser<\/a> (wider areas) and E-Z Runner\u00ae Micro Refillable Dispenser<\/a> (narrow areas). <\/p>\n

Fasten the shiny red mat to the green cardstock with E-Z Dots\u00ae Permanent Refillable Dispenser<\/a>. Lightly spray the gray card base with the green ink spray to create speckles. When dry, fasten the grid layered panel the card. <\/p>\n

Apply an Adhesive Sheets 4 x 6 inch<\/a> to the back side of red metallic cardstock and die-cut “Merry Christmas.” Remove the liner from the back side of the die cut and adhere the words onto the grey grid paper. No additional adhesive is required.<\/p>\n

More Card Making Details<\/h2>\n

I die-cut different greenery branches from several colors of green cardstock. Apply Adhesive Sheets 4 x 6 inch<\/a> on the back side of a piece of brown cardstock before die-cutting into pine branches. This makes it easy to assemble the boughs. I did the same for the tiny cream berries and overlay pieces of branches with oval leaves.<\/p>\n

After cutting the greenery pieces, spray them with green ink spray. Attach the greenery to the card with Adhesive Dots Micro<\/a> at the top where the bow will hide the ends.<\/p>\n

Next use Adhesive Dots Micro<\/a> to adhere the bow pieces together and place it over the greenery. The shiny Merry Christmas sentiment, bow and mat border adds a nice contrast to this more muted card and background. This card is 5.5 x 7 inches in size.<\/p>\n
