Hello crafty friends! Here’s hoping that the summer months are treating you well. Tracy<\/a> here, and today I have a pretty little scrapbook layout to share. This layout features the use of lots of patterned paper scraps to create a beautiful background. Here are all of the details.<\/p>\n

\"Be<\/figure>\n

Patterned Scrap Background Idea<\/h2>\n

I started creating this project after using up MOST of this beautiful patterned paper collection. All I had left were a few small pieces, the barcode patterned strips, and some embellishments. So, step one was to add thin scrap strips of patterned paper to the top and bottom of the background using the E-Z Runner\u00ae Micro Refillable Dispenser<\/a>. Then cut a cardstock circle to the size you want for your background. I then took the patterned paper scrap strips and started adhering it to the cardstock circle background using the E-Z Runner\u00ae Petite Permanent Dots Refillable Dispenser<\/a>. Cut off any bits and pieces that hang over the circle.<\/p>\n

Overlap some strips here and there, and even add some of the shorter little leftover patterned paper pieces to the background. Once complete and trimmed. Mat the layered circle in taupe cardstock and distress the edges. Adhere to the middle of the layout using E-Z Runner\u00ae Petite Permanent Dots Refillable Dispenser<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Scrapbook Page Design<\/h2>\n

Next mat the 4×6 photo in white and black cardstock using the E-Z Runner\u00ae Petite Permanent Dots Refillable Dispenser<\/a>. Now adhere the matted photo to the layout using Crafty Foam Tape 108\u2032<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"Be<\/figure>\n

Begin adding ephemera around the matted photo using a combination of Thin 3D Foam Squares Black Mix<\/a> and 3D Foam Squares White Mix<\/a> for extra dimension. I also used the Thin 3D Foam Squares Black Mix<\/a> to add the title strip to the bottom of the layout and the tag to the top. Add burlap string to the tag.<\/p>\n
