Coffee & Donut Scrapbook Page<\/h2>\n

Hello and welcome! It’s Margie<\/a> to celebrate National Coffee Day<\/strong> with the Coffee Lovers Community and you! It’s natural to think that coffee goes well with donuts, right? Well, do you remember Mister Donuts? Maybe I am aging myself – LOL! Sadly, there is only ONE place in the U.S. – Godfrey, IL. BUT it is alive and well overseas. Go figure! I created a scrapbook page of my visit to one in Japan. Grab a cuppa and see how I put it together!<\/p>\n

Coffee & Donut Background Prep<\/h2>\n

My Coffee & Donut scrapbook page is on a 12 x 12-inch Kraft Cardstock. Cut a piece of 12 x 12-inch patterned paper in half to 6 x 12-inch. Use one half and set aside the other for another project. Turn the paper to its backside and hand tear the paper (tear it towards you). Continue to stress it by folding over to the front about a half-inch and secure it with E-Z Runner\u00ae Micro<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Then adhere the distressed piece to the 12 x 12-inch Kraft cardstock with the E-Z Runner\u00ae Grand Ultra Strong<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Layer Embellishments<\/h2>\n

Wasting not even the product strip of the patterned paper, I cut off the patterned design to create strips to embellish the bottom of my image. I used the collection’s washi tape to secure two strips side-by-side and then Adhesive Lines<\/a> to adhere the red strip to the center. The other embellishments were from the ephemera pack and secured with a combination of the E-Z Runner\u00ae Grand Ultra Strong<\/a> and 3D Foam Circles White Mix<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Journaling<\/h2>\n

Cut a cut-a-part to create a journaling box and write your comments in. I penciled and trimmed mine as it will be tucked behind the picture. Secure it with the E-Z Runner\u00ae Grand Ultra Strong<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Make the Coffee & Donut Title<\/h2>\n

Using the 3D Foam Creative Sheet Small White<\/a> sheets, I die-cut the letters for my title. Love this idea because it customizes your title as well as pops it up! <\/p>\n

Now for the FUN part – foiling the title letters! Once I place the letters down on the page and remove the top liner, I covered a piece of silver foil from the Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets in Holographics<\/a> color side UP to rub the foil to transfer the color to the letter. A technique we call Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside<\/em>. It is using adhesive as an embellishment rather than hiding between layers of paper.<\/p>\n
