Hi, all! Has the Pandemic got you staying home and wanting to craft more? Teri<\/a> here with a couple of “easy to make” handmade cards for essential workers, as well as the essential people in your life! <\/p>\n

These cards are a great way to thank those workers out there, who continue helping others. They are also a fun way to make the essential people in your life smile… with a Pandemic twist! <\/p>\n

Create the Essential Card Elements<\/h2>\n

Start by cutting three of the same “Smile” words from cardstock. Use your markers to add a little color to one of them. I wanted an artsy look so I covered it with light blue and then added some darker blue coloring to the bottom. <\/p>\n

Stack the words up and adhere them together and then onto the mat. Rather than using a dot over the “i”, use a sequin or gem! <\/p>\n

Stamp and die-cut a couple of critters with masks on. Color them in with markers. <\/p>\n

Adhere a panel of patterned paper onto a top folded card. Temporarily set the die-cut word onto and stamp an additional sentiment onto the card. Permanently adhere the die-cut to your card with 3D Foam Strips<\/a>. These are great because you can cut them up to fit your word perfectly. <\/p>\n

Add your stamped critters to your card. Use foam to make one of them pop.<\/p>\n

Complete the card by adding some adhesive hearts<\/a> and flock, as well as some additional sequins. <\/p>\n

Essential Card Take 2<\/h2>\n

You can easily change up the design of your card by using different stamped critters. Here I used three different critters as opposed to just frogs. <\/p>\n

Remember, if you don’t have a stamp of a critter with a mask, try improvising. Find a critter stamp and then draw a mask onto it with a pen. Simply draw a rectangle and add a few strings to it. The sky is the limit when it comes to creative possibilities!<\/p>\n
