Hi, my crafty friends, Jamie<\/a> here! I have a snowflake and striped Christmas card using 3D Foam Snowflake<\/a> and Crafty Power Tape<\/a> for a unique background.  It’s nice making your own background, you can make it whatever color you want it and you don’t need to have a decorative paper that’s the right color for your project.<\/p>\n

\"Snowflake<\/figure>\n

The Snowflake and Striped Christmas Card Stamped Image<\/h2>\n

First, I stamped the bird from the Chickadee Holiday Set from Stampendous on watercolor paper with Onyx Black VersaFine Ink and emboss it with clear embossing powder.  Then watercolor the image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens.<\/p>\n

To make the clouds, use a cloud stencil and apply light blue ink with blender brushes. Stamp the sentiment in black ink. For the snow, I used Icicle Stickles and set aside to dry.<\/p>\n

Make the Striped Background<\/h2>\n

Cut a piece of 2 1\/4 x 5 1\/2″ white cardstock panel. Place strips of Crafty Power Tape diagonally on the panel. Cut any excess tape off. Remove the liners and cover with red embossing powder. Make sure to press the powder into the adhesive before tapping off the excess. Heat emboss to melt the powder.<\/p>\n

Add the Snowflakes<\/h2>\n

Place two strips of Crafty Power Tape<\/a> on the back of the embossed panel. Then adhere it to the center of the card. Add 3D Foam Snowflake<\/a> on each side of the panel. Remove the liners and cover with Crystal Micro Glitter. Secure the glitter by rubbing it into the shapes. Tap off excess.<\/p>\n

Assemble the Snowflake and Striped Christmas Card<\/h2>\n

To lift the center panel, place 3D Foam Strips<\/a> on its back. Stack two layers of Foam Strips in the center so that it is higher than the 3D Foam Snowflake<\/a>. I used one layer on each side because the tape will rest on the Foam Snowflakes.<\/p>\n
