They are fun and make for a pretty card. Use the Archival Distress\/Hickory Smoke to stamp the sleigh and then add Distress Oxides inks for the color.  But first I needed to mask my cup.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-pin-url=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/2022\/01\/03\/mixed-media-snowflake-card\/?tp_image_id=86918\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/sfcup4.jpg\" alt=\"Mixed Media Snowflake Square Card by Connie Mercer for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L \" class=\"wp-image-86918\" width=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/sfcup4.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/sfcup4-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/sfcup4-500x333.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>1. To make the mask, stamp a second coffee cup on a scrap piece of cardstock and trim it out.  <br \/>2. To create the background, apply <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/products\/01252-e-z-runner-grand-repo-dots-refill\">E-Z Runner\u00ae Grand Repositionable Dots Refill<\/a> on the back of the coffee cup mask, and place it over the coffee cup image on the card front. Now randomly stamp the sleigh on the cardstock with Archival Distressed\/Hickory Smoke.  <em>A light color ink works best.<\/em><br \/>3. Use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/products\/crafty-foam-tape-white-54ft-1\">Crafty Foam Tape White 54ft<\/a> to attach the card front to the black cardstock mat.<br \/>4. I used blue tones.  On the coffee cup, a sleigh was stamped in the center with Distressed Archival\/Black Soot.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-wear-your-adhesive-on-the-outside-with-3d-foam-snowflakes\">Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside with 3D Foam Snowflakes<\/h2>\n<p>To use these <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/products\/new-3d-foam-snowflakes-58-mix-1\">3D Foam Snowflakes<\/a> as embellishments vs. placing them between layers, we call it &#8220;Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside&#8221; and most do not need special tools. In this case, we are using pigment powder to add color and interest.<\/p>\n<p>Simply remove the snowflake from the package, leaving the release sheet on its back, dip and press them into the powder until it is covered. Remove with tweezers, burnish the powder into the shapes and place them on the card front. Speckle with white acrylic paint.
