Hi, everyone, Yvonne<\/a> here with a colorful Thinking of You Flower card. Sometimes a card needs just one die-cut shape popped up with 3D Foam Squares Micro White<\/a> to support every intricate detail. Well, it\u2019s super easy to create when you have the right type of foam adhesive. <\/p>\n

Don\u2019t you love the shadow effect behind the die-cut? I would love to show you how I made the card. Shall we get started?<\/p>\n

Inking the Flower Card Panel<\/h2>\n

Start by adding color to a piece of white cardstock. To color, I used an ink pad and an ink blending tool. Start by adding the bottom color (purple) and the top color (yellow). Then fill in the gap with orange and bright purple. For even blending it is important that you do not use too much ink. Remember that it\u2019s better to add multiple thin layers than just one too thick layer of ink. This prevents stain spots and makes the blending more even.  <\/p>\n

Next, I splattered some water over the cardstock and dabbed it with a piece of cloth to make some subtle stains. <\/p>\n

Tip:<\/strong> for beginner cardmakers, you can also use patterned paper as a background.<\/p>\n

Adding the Focal Point<\/h2>\n

First die-cut the floral design from white cardstock. Then trim the die-cut to the desired size. Next, add 3D Foam Squares Micro White<\/a> to the back of the die-cut. The tiny foam micro squares are perfect for detailed adhering. For the bottom part, I used Crafty Foam Tape White<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Now remove the liner from the 3D Micro and Crafty Foam Tape White<\/a> and adhere it onto the ink-colored cardstock.<\/p>\n

The Card Base<\/h2>\n

Trim the colored cardstock to a size that is slightly larger than the single die-cut you adhered upon. Do not throw away the excess colored cardstock, for you will be using it later. Then adhere upon a piece of beige cardstock using the E-Z Runner\u00ae Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser<\/a> for adhering. Next, adhere to a white card base again using the E-Z Runner\u00ae Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Embellishing the Flower Card<\/h2>\n

First, stamp a sentiment onto white cardstock and cut it out to be a banner size. Then adhere upon the leftover piece of ink-colored cardstock and trim to a size slightly larger than the stamped banner. Adhere the sentiment onto the ink-colored banner using the E-Z Runner\u00ae Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser<\/a>. Next, adhere the banner onto the card using Crafty Foam Tape White<\/a>. For a finishing touch, I adhered some rhinestones to the card. And\u2026voil\u00e1 your single die-cut card is ready.<\/p>\n
