I put together this vintage style Congratulations Pocket card to share today.  The embossed corner design forms a pocket for a verse or note. Doily part is sprayed with Distress Oxide Saltwater Taffy and rubbed with Distress inks &#8211; Antique Linen, Pumice Stone, Hickory Smoke. Part that shows at back of pocket is sprayed with Distress Saltwater Taffy and rubbed with Wild Honey, Antique Linen, Oxide Saltwater Taffy, Pumice Stone and misted with water.  Script stamped with Hickory Smoke ink.<\/li>\n<li>Black cardstock for verse lightly sprayed with Distress Oxide Saltwater Taffy, misted with water and dabbed off with towel.  When dry stamp verse and heat emboss with gold embossing powder and then die cut with oval die.<\/li>\n<li>Pocket insert back (3.25 x 4.375 inch cut from peachy tan cardstock with rounded corner, edges distressed lightly with Hickory Smoke ink.<\/li>\n<li>Pocket insert front panel (3 x 4.125 inch) cut form cream speckle cardstock rubbed with Distress Saltwater Taffy, Antique Linen and Hickory Smoke inks around outer edges.<\/li>\n<li>Seam binding crumpled by misting with water, squeezed in hand several times and heat dried.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-creating-the-pocket\">Creating the Pocket<\/h2>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" data-pin-url=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/2022\/03\/29\/congratulations-pocket-card\/?tp_image_id=87990\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/judy_hayes-PocketCongrat-S2.jpg\" alt=\"Congratulations Pocket Card by Judy Hayes for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L \" class=\"wp-image-87990\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/judy_hayes-PocketCongrat-S2.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/judy_hayes-PocketCongrat-S2-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/judy_hayes-PocketCongrat-S2-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>To form the pocket, apply <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/products\/c-01230-3d-foam-strips\">3D Foam Strips<\/a> along the bottom edge and lower part of the doily edge, peel liners, fold, and press in place to create a pocket.<\/p>\n<p>Use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/products\/e-z-runner-ultra-refillable-dispenser\">E-Z Runner\u00ae Ultra Strong Refillable Dispenser<\/a> to apply adhesive to back and fasten to the gray mat.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-add-seam-binding\">Add Seam Binding<\/h2>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" data-pin-url=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/2022\/03\/29\/congratulations-pocket-card\/?tp_image_id=87991\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/judy_hayes-PocketCongrat-S3.jpg\" alt=\"Congratulations Pocket Card by Judy Hayes for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L \" class=\"wp-image-87991\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/judy_hayes-PocketCongrat-S3.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/judy_hayes-PocketCongrat-S3-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/judy_hayes-PocketCongrat-S3-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Tie two pieces of seam binding in a bow. Fasten pieces of insert together using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scrapbook-adhesives.com\/products\/e-z-runner-ultra-refillable-dispenser\">E-Z Runner\u00ae Ultra Strong Refillable Dispenser<\/a>.
