Hello crafty friends, Martha Lucia<\/a><\/strong> here with a Slimline Happy Birthday Card. This is a quick and easy card to make using up ephemera or card kit pieces from your stash. <\/p>\n

\"Slimline<\/figure>\n

Slimline Birthday Card Base<\/h2>\n

To make this card, I am using different pieces from a Celebration Card Kit. It comes with many patterned papers, cardstock, and ephemera. First, select a decorated card base and add a second layer in a solid cardstock with Crafty Foam Tape 108\u2032.<\/a><\/p>\n

Assembling the Card<\/h2>\n

Next, let’s embellish and assemble the card front panel. I started adding the different ephemera pieces. First, I lifted and adhered the large word sentiment to the center of the card, using Crafty Foam Tape 108\u2032.<\/a> This is a fabulous roll of crafty foam tape that you can cut to the size you need. Plus it gives a subtle lift with its height of 1\/32″ (half of 1\/16″ so think of it as a Thin 3D Foam Square).<\/p>\n

Continue to add more ephemera pieces with Crafty Foam Tape 108\u2032.<\/a> For my design, I arranged all the candles behind the gift bag and some balloons on the other side.<\/p>\n

Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside with Foil<\/h2>\n

For a fun accent, I placed\u00a03D Foam Squares Micro White<\/a>\u00a0(1\/8-inch in size) on the gift bag. Then, I removed the liners and foiled them with the gold foil from the\u00a0Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Nature Colors<\/a>. Simply face the foil color side UP, and rub with your fingertip to transfer the color. Missed a spot? Reapply the foil. This technique is called Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Another fun idea, I randomly rolled the\u00a0E-Z Runner Petite Permanent Dots Refillable Dispenser<\/a>\u00a0on top of the sentiment and ephemera pieces. Then repeat the same foiling step as above using the same foil color or another from the\u00a0<\/a>Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Nature Colors<\/a>. Instant gratification and no special tools are needed! <\/p>\n
