Hi everyone! I’m thinking of spring and bright flowers with this Friendship Flower Card today. I used watercolors to paint the flowers and added details with a black pen. Putting together cards with these flowers has become a favorite of mine! I used some leftover pieces from other projects for the background pieces. <\/p>\n

Friendship Flower Card Parts<\/h2>\n

Paint three flowers and leaves with watercolors, when dry add details with a black pen and then fussy cut them out. Stamp a random grid pattern on a 5 x 7-inch white card with Distress Oxide Saltwater Taffy ink, that’s been off-stamped once. Then emboss a 2.25 x 7-inch white cardstock with Swirl embossing folder. Paint a 2.25 x 5-inch white cardstock with a mix of Distress Kitsch Flamingo Paint and white gesso. Stamp a verse on white cardstock with Onyx Black ink and heat emboss with clear embossing powder and trim to 1.375 x 1.875 inches.<\/p>\n

Assemble Layers<\/h2>\n

Attach the embossed panel to the card using E-Z Runner\u00ae Ultra Strong Refillable Dispenser<\/a>. Since it’s a strong adhesive it that works well for an embossed panel. Place Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix<\/a> on the back of a pink panel, peel the liners, and fasten to the card front. <\/p>\n

Adhere Flowers and Verse<\/h2>\n

Determine flower placement and add Adhesive Dots Large<\/a> on the backs of each flower. Don’t forget to allow space for verse. For the larger leaves, use Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix<\/a> to fasten to the card. And for smaller leaves, adhere with Adhesive Dots Large<\/a> at the stem end. I also used Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix<\/a> under one or two of the top leaves (cut the foam squares as needed to fit leaves).<\/p>\n

Apply Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix<\/a> to the back of the verse, peel the liners, and fasten in place on the card. <\/p>\n
