I created this basket with paper and adhesive, it\u2019s so cute, and it\u2019s easy enough that you can make multiples and even get the kids to help!<\/p>\n

\n<\/span><\/address>\n

Start by die cutting a scalloped square.\u00a0 I used my die cut machine and Grand Scalloped Squares, the largest die template in the set.\u00a0 I die cut\/embossed My Mind\u2019s Eye patterned cardstock, because it was cute, springy and actually a nice heavy weight, which makes it perfect for a basket.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Fold the square four times, at the second scallop.\u00a0 Then cut along 4 of the fold lines, as shown.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Add strips of Crafty Power Tape to the center panel between the cut lines.\u00a0 See that I inked the inside with purple to show how I folded and adhered the sides.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I interlocked the scallops. Crafty Power Tape holds it all in place.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Fold in and adhere the opposite side to make the basket.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

To make the handle usable, and to reinforce the bottom of the basket, I cut a piece of scrap cardstock to 3 x 3\u201d.\u00a0 I applied Crafty Power Tape to one side, along the outer edges. I cut coordinating My Mind\u2019s Eye paper to strips of 1 x 12\u201d, and then folded both ends in at \u00bd\u201d.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Remove the backing from the Crafty Power Tape and adhere the \u00bd\u201d folded part to the adhesive as shown.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Place the handle piece into the bottom of the basket, and voila!\u00a0 We have a basket with a sturdy handle!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

To embellish the basket, I cut\/embossed Beaded Ovals and Classic Ovals.\u00a0 I inked and airbrushed, and assembled the pieces and placed them on the basket using 3D Foam Squares.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

These baskets come together quickly and easily.\u00a0 They are perfect for holidays, parties and little gifts, just change the paper to fit the occasion.<\/p>\n

You can even use them as place cards!<\/p>\n
