Hi everyone, Yvonne<\/a> here. With a new school year coming, I made this Hello New School Year Card. It\u2019s always super exciting and maybe a bit scary to enter school or a new school year, so let’s show some support and encouragement. And\u2026 what better way than a handmade card?<\/p>\n

\"Hello<\/figure>\n

This one is super easy to create and suitable for beginner cardmakers. Wanna join me?<\/p>\n

New School Year Card Panel<\/h2>\n

Start by trimming a piece of patterned paper to a rectangular size for the card panel. Now cut a label from a patterned paper, cut or punch a hole, and thread ribbon through it. Adhere the label to the center of the card panel. For a subtle lift, I used the Thin 3D Foam Squares Black Mix<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"Hello<\/figure>\n

Place stickers on a piece of white cardstock and fuzzy cut the images. Adhere them to the card panel using 3D Foam Squares Black Mix<\/a> for dimension and interest.<\/p>\n

Create and Layer the Card Base<\/h2>\n

Mat the card panel on a sea green card panel using the E-Z Runner\u00ae Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser<\/a>.  Next, adhere to a white card base with the same tape dispenser. Let’s add a fun element to the New School Year Card.<\/p>\n

Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside<\/h2>\n

Shiny star elements will be added by using the Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside<\/a> technique. It takes the adhesives from under the layers of paper and brings them out to make them as embellishments! Start with randomly adding some 3D Foam Stars<\/a> onto the card.<\/p>\n

\"Hello<\/figure>\n

Remove the top liner and place a piece of blue foil from the Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Pastel Colors<\/a> over the exposed adhesive (make sure the shiny blue color is facing you). Gently rub the foil color to the stars to transfer the color. If there are any missed areas, simply reapply the foil.<\/p>\n

What a great way to show your child or grandchild that he or she is a star! <\/p>\n
