Hi, Judy here today! This Metallic Squares Card is super easy to make! And quick! See the directions below for an easy way to fasten Thin 3D Foam Squares Black Mix so they’re all aligned and attached in one step. Then cover with Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Nature Colors for metallic shine on a black background.
Card Papers
Cut gray cardstock 5.5 x 8.5 inches, score and fold to form 4.25 x 5.5 inch side fold card.
Cut piece black cardstock 3.25 x 5 inches. Place in Burlap embossing folder and pass through die cutting machine to emboss.
Fasten Thin 3D Squares
From a sheet of large Thin 3D Foam Squares Black Mix, peel off liners on squares along one edge row and randomly on squares in three more rows.
Place edge of sheet with liners peeled off about .25 inches from edge of embossed black cardstock. Press firmly to attach Thin 3D Squares to cardstock. Carefully pull away Thin 3D Foam Squares Black Mix sheet. It may be necessary to press against back of sheet to make Thin 3D Foam Squares fully transfer to cardstock as sheet is pulled away.
Apply Metallic Foil
Starting along one edge, carefully cover each Thin 3D Square with foil from Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Nature Colors. Use colors silver, gold, and bronze.
Apply adhesive to back with E-Z Runner® Ultra Strong Refillable Dispenser and fasten on gray card.
Add Greeting
Stamp greeting on black cardstock with Versamark ink, cover with silver embossing powder and heat emboss using a heat tool. Use coordinating die to cut out greeting. Position greeting on card to decide placement.
Place small Thin 3D Foam Squares Black Mix on back of greeting where it does not cover a metallic square. To any part of greeting that lays across a metallic square, apply adhesive from E-Z Runner® Ultra Strong Refillable Dispenser
