Hi, friends! Christmas is a few months out, which means it is a great time to get a jump on making a few tags to add to your holiday gifts! Teri here to show you how to make a Sending Hugs Gift Tag with some fun touches with our adhesives.
Create the Sending Hugs Gift Tag Base
Start by adding a piece of patterned paper to the bottom of a die-cut tag with the E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser. Set the tag aside. Next, stamp, cut and color a large bear from white cardstock. Also do the same with an accessory for it to hold, like a coffee cup, gift or cupcake.
Use your bear image on the tag as a guide to stamp a sentiment and snowflakes on the tag. Remove the bear to go to the next step.
Make the Bear Come Alive
Place a few squares from the 3D Foam Squares 3mm White Mix pack on the back of your bear. Mount the bear onto the tag, letting him partly hang off the tag. Place additional 3D Foam Strips 3mm White under your bear’s accessory and add it to the bear.
Take a pen or pencil (or some similar shaped tool) and set it under the bear. Curl the bear’s body slightly around it, allowing it to give the bear some extra dimension.
Add a 3D Foam Strip and Metallic Transfer Foil
Add a 3D Foam Strip toward the bottom of the tag. Set a piece of Metallic Transfer Foil on top of the shapes with the pretty side up. Burnish the foil onto the strip.
Complete the tag by adding some sequins to it with the Adhesive Dots Small, as well as tying a piece of tulle through the top of the tag.
Don’t have the same supplies I used? Look through your crafty stash for similar items to use to make a Sending Hugs Gift Tag of your own. Try using a different stamps. Instead of stamps, use die-cuts. Don’t have sequins? Use gems.
