Hello- Happy Labor Day weekend! AJ here sharing just how quickly a birthday card can come together with the right supplies.
The journal card caught my attention so I decided to make the card around it.
To start, I using E-Z Runner® Squares Refillable to adhere the patterned paper to my card front,
And again on my banner pieces,
and once more to adhere the banners onto my card front.
I wanted to tie in a doily since there were doily images on the journal card, but it was a tad to small to really peek out from behind like I wanted it to. So I trimmed it in half, layer it onto my card front, and placed the journal card onto it so it would line up just right. 
Next, I wanted that focal piece popped up, so Black Crafty Foam Tape it is! (I keep a roll of both black and white on my desk at all times!) Done and ready to go in the mail!

What a great idea to use a journaling card as your inspiration I think your card is vert pretty and I love the sentiment and a great tip with the doily too. Have a wonderful weekend!
