Hello crafty friends! Tracy here, and today I have a fun and sparkly little layout to share. Find out how I created this metallic background. Here are all of the details.
Metallic Background Design
First I started with a sheet of 12×12 black cardstock. Next, using the 1/2″ 3D Foam Circles Black Mix circles, I adhered one to the middle of each side of the cardstock. I then connected those dots using Crafty Foam Tape Black.
Using the 1/2″ 3D Foam Circles Black Mix circles again, add them in from the corners of the layout about 1.5″.
Now add 3D Foam Circles Black Mix again just in a bit from the previously placed circles. Begin connecting those dots again on this Metallic Background using Crafty Foam Tape Black.
This design begins to look more and more Art Deco-inspired as I create this Metallic Background.
Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside
Remove the backing from the outer pieces of Crafty Foam Tape Black and add the fine gold foil from the Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Holographic Colors.
Remove the backing from the inner Crafty Foam Tape Black square, and the outer 3D Foam Circles Black Mix and cover them with the fine silver Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Holographic Colors. The metallic background is coming together. Cover the first 3D Foam Circles Black Mix placed in the same gold Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Holographic Colors as already used.
Mat the 2 photos in white cardstock using the E-Z Runner® Grand Refillable Dispenser and add Creative Photo Corners Gold. Adhere the photos to the Metallic Background using 2 layers of Crafty Foam Tape Black. I created the simple little title using letter stickers matted in coordinating cardstock. Then adhere to the layout using the small 3D Foam Circles Black Mix.
The final touch is to add a little extra sparkle by way of pretty sequins and Adhesive Dots Micro.
