Welcome scrappy friends! Tracy here and today I have a simple Mixed Pattern Layout. Here are all of the details on how I created it.

Let’s Get Started!
Some can struggle mixing patterned papers, but it’s something I love to do. I chose a patterned background that was light and a simple blocked pattern. Then I chose a very contrasting pattern, the black floral. Cut this to 8×8 and mat it in white cardstock. Adhere all of these layers using the E-Z Runner® Ultra Strong Refillable Dispenser.

Mat the 4×6 photo in white cardstock. I chose the next layer of patterned paper to contrast the 3 before. This time I used I light green marbled pattern. Cut it to 3×9, and adhere under where the matted photo would be placed using the E-Z Runner® Ultra Strong Refillable Dispenser. Adhere the matted photo to the mixed pattern layout using Crafty Foam Tape Black.

Adhere patterned strips across the layout using the E-Z Runner® Micro Refillable Dispenser, perfect for adhering narrow strips. I then added white cardstock behind the mini frames, again using the E-Z Runner® Micro Refillable Dispenser. Adhere this frame to the layout using Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix.

Begin adding coordinating stickers and embellishments around the matted photo.

Some of these embellishments were added to this mixed pattern layout using Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix.
