Layered Earthy Layout

Hello scrappy friends! Tracy here, and today I have a fun Layered Earthy Layout to share. Here are all of the details on how I created it.

Layered Earthy Layout Design Idea

Have you ever had a collection that you loved SO MUCH that you cling to each little bit of it that you have left? This is a layout that I created using a collection like that. I had this one full patterned paper background sheet and then just scraps and a lot of embellishments that I hadn’t used.

My first step for this layered earthy layout is to collect the larger background pieces. I cut the blue patterned paper to fit in the corner of the background.

The Starting Point

Using the blue patterned paper as a guide at this point, I added some cardstock stickers around it and ephemera using the Thin 3D Foam Squares Black Mix.

Adding Elements for the WoW Factor

Next I added E-Z Runner® Grand Refillable Dispenser around the inside edges of the blue patterned paper and I adhered more floral ephemera around that border of the Layered Earthy Layout.

Now it’s time to adhere that piece to the background using Crafty Foam Tape Black. Now you can see the definition between layers of this embellishment border.

Adding the Photo

Attach the photo to the white cardstock mat using Creative Photo Corners Kraft. Add the matted photo to the layout using Crafty Foam Tape Black. Then add some ephemera pieces around the matted photo, also using Crafty Foam Tape Black.

Creating a Cluster

I decided to add a few embellishments to the top left-hand corner of the layout and used Crafty Foam Tape Black to add the “Go See Do” sticker. Add a burlap string bow to each of the tags on this layered earthy layout.
