Valentines Day is over, but hearts work for so much more than a Valentine! I took 3D Foam Hearts and turned them into balloons…well, sort of!
Today is my oldest son’s birthday, and he’s spending it at college for the first time, which inspired my card today.
To make the balloons look metallic is I used craft foils, which stick to the 3D Foam Hearts. But first I stamped the words Happy & Birthday, trimmed and added them to the surface of the 3D Foam Hearts. Then the foil, with the desired color side ‘up’, just touch and peel until the 3D Foam Hearts were covered. This is a super easy and fun technique!!
I used bakers twine to tie the balloons, with a Dodz™ Small to hold the knot in place. Kraft Classic Photo Corners add more masculine color, coordinate with the chevron shapes, and also frame out the center of the card.
3D Foam Squares separate the 2 main layers, and E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips do the rest!
Thanks for coming by today!
