Hey everybody, happy Tuesday! Hopefully your week has started off on a nice note! I love having an assortment of extra all-occasion type cards in my stash, don’t you? You just never know when you’ll need one or what kind you’ll need! You can check ‘friendship’ off your list with this one! Leslie here with you today, sharing a ‘fabulous’ swing easel card (pun intended) featuring a variety of our amazing products. This fun fold is one of my all-time favorites because it puts a little different spin on the classic easel card. So let me show you more of the details!
Card Base Details
Firstly, I cut the card base from black cardstock. There’s something about the pops of color in those patterned papers on the black background!
Secondly, I cut layering panels from two coordinating patterned papers and some white cardstock.
Thirdly, I adhered all the layering panels to the card base with E-Z Runner® Grand Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser.
Focal Panel & Sentiment
Next, I stamped and heat embossed the image on a white cardstock panel and cut it with a stitched mini scallop die. Additionally, I colored the image with alcohol markers and adhered it with the E-Z Runner® Grand Permanent Strips Refillable Dispenser. Have to ask if you ever heard of Flock Dots? Maybe I invented them, lol! Read on to see how I made these and used them to embellish the focal panel.
Afterwards, I stamped the sentiment on a white cardstock scrap and punched it with a large oval punch. As the sentiment also serves as the ‘stopper’ for the easel, I adhered it to the bottom panel with 3D Foam Circles Black Mix.
Embellishing the Fabulous Swing Easel Card
For me, embellishing any project is always super fun! As I mentioned above, I created what I’m calling Flock Dots. These are small dots of adhesive from the Dual Tip Glue Pen dropped onto parchment paper and then dusted with white flock from my stash. I allowed these to dry overnight and used them as embellishments on the focal image panel when I assembled the card. They are irregularly varied in size, and so delicate and sweet!
Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside
By now you know that the ‘Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside’ is my favorite technique! Using 3D Foam Squares Micro Black and pink foil from Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Pastel Colors, I created some embellishments. Turned these sideways in diamond orientation and added four to both outside corners of the bottom panel. The fabulous swing easel card is now complete!
