Welcome to the Fancy Pants Designs Feature Week!
Make sure you visit every day this week to see the designers use Fancy Pants Designs product along with Scrapbook Adhesives By 3L®. At the end of the week we will be giving away a great adhesive package, so be sure to leave a comment in the RaffleCopter.
Hi friends! It’s Lisa with you today sharing a card I made using the Burlap and Bouquets line from Fancy Pants Designs. I just love the feminine and rustic look of this paper collection. The beautiful shabby chic-ness (is that a word?) just makes my heart swoon.
Here are the instructions to make my card:
1. Cut/score cardstock.
2. Adhere dotted patterned paper from Fancy Pants Burlap & Bouquets to card base using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® MyStik® Permanent Strips.
3. Layer on top a canvas banner and adhere using MyStik® Permanent Strips.
4. Cut next sheet of patterned paper approximately 1/4 ” smaller than banner and in the same shape as the banner. Distress edges and use brown ink. Apply Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® Foam Square (black, regular) to the back. Leave the backing on and set aside.
5. Wrap section of ribbon trim around the top of the patterned paper “banner” to measure. Adhere with Crafty Power Tape.
6. Die-cut another portion of Burlap & Bouquets patterned paper. Stamp sentiment with black pigment ink and heat set with clear embossing powder. Using ruler, go around the edge of banner very lightly with Gold Texture Gems. After placing Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® E-Z Dots® Permanent Adhesive on the back side, slide the banner under the lace and adhere.
7. Color the crochet flower using the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L ® Blue Pigment Powder. Simply swirl a soft brush into the lid of the powder and then dust onto the flower until desired color is achieved.
8. Use Adhesive Dots 3D to adhere flower to lace trim and place an Adhesive Dots Medium in the center of the flower.
9. Thread black hemp through a button and tie a bow. Adhere to the center of flower with the Adhesive Dots Medium.
10. Remove backing from 3D Foam Squares on patterned paper banner and adhere to canvas banner.
11. Accent with touches of Gold Texture Gems and Clear Texture Gems.
And a little close up of some of the shimmer…

My crafting resolutions for this year is to do more crafting and to learn more techniques for paper crafting. I don’t think it’s possible to have too much time for crafting but I’m planning on dropping some activities to do the things I enjoy most. I love making cards and just about any kind of paper crafting. I also sew, do machine embroidery, paint, bead and crochet but paper crafting is where my heart is.
