Hello everyone, it’s summertime! Yvonne here, sharing a tutorial on making this sunshine card using Creative Photo Corners. It’s the perfect pick me up to brighten someone’s day!
For the focal element (the sun) I used lots of Creative Photo Corners Gold. By simply folding the corners slightly, you will get an even more beautiful reflection when you hold up the card to the (sun)light.
Let’s Get Our Sunshine On!
Start with making the card base by mounting a piece of patterned cardstock onto yellow cardstock using the E-Z Runner® Grand Refillable Dispenser.
To adhere the satin ribbon, run the E-Z Runner® Grand Refillable Dispenser onto its back.
Wrap the ribbon around the layered panel, fold the ends to the back of the panel, and adhere the panel to a white card base.
Creating a Golden Sun
Die-cut three different sized (each slightly larger than the other) circles from white cardstock.
Stamp the sunshine sentiment onto the centre of the smallest die-cut.
Adhere Adhesive Dots Medium Ultra Thin onto (the black part of) Creative Photo Corners Gold.
Hold the stamped die-cut circle in your hand, and adhere the Creative Photo Corners Gold all around on the back of the circle as if they are petals. Don’t forget to remove the liner of the Adhesive Dots Medium Ultra Thin! When done, set aside.
Repeat the same process with the other two circle die cuts.
Layer all three circles, with the smallest circle on top and with the largest one on the bottom. You don’t need glue to adhere because the Creative Photo Corners have permanent adhesive on the back side.
Use tweezers to help bend the golden petals of the upper two layers to create more interest and dimension. By doing this, the petals will catch reflection for a very happy and sunshine shiny focal element!
Finishing the Sunshine Card
Adhere the largest circle to a white laced edged circle die cut. With 3D Foam Squares White Regular Size adhere the layered sun to the card base for extra dimension.
Attach a satin bow to the card with an Adhesive Dots Medium Ultra Thin and add rhinestones for sparkle. You’re done! This sunshine card will bring a smile to the recipient for sure!
