I do a lot of Birthday Scrapbook Layouts, somewhere around 5-10 a year! With four kids, the layouts pile up! I am therefore always looking for ways to keep it fresh and change things up! Wearing your Adhesives on the Outside is one way that you can easily change things up. Christine joining you today with a Birthday Celebration Scrapbook Layout where I mix it up in the details!
With lots of layers and details come lots of adhesives. But I want to focus first on one specific detail! Thin 3D Foam Adhesive Squares are playing a special role on today’s Birthday Celebration layout!
I added these to the end of the rows of patterned paper. Then I covered them with Embossing Powder, adding both color and texture. Even better, it adds a unique touch to the layout! I try to do this fairly early in the creative process because I don’t want to expose my whole layout to heat for the embossing.
The patterned paper strips on my layout went on easily, using the E-Z Runner Grand always makes this part so smooth!
I created my title with a combination of stickers and patterned paper elements. Each one was either put on flat or popped up with 3D Foam Squares.
The same was also true with my embellishment clusters – lots of dimension added using the 3D Foam Squares.
If you’d like to see a close-up of how this Birthday Celebration layout came together, you can check it out in this process video.
Thanks so much for joining me today!
