Aloha Nodding Pineapple Card

Hi, friends! Like to make interactive cards? Teri here to show you an easy way to make a card with a pineapple that nods. Yup, an Aloha Nodding Pineapple Card! Let’s get started…

This card was easy to make! Let me show you how you can create one like it!

Creating the Card Base and Making the Pineapple Nod

Start with a card base and a piece of patterned paper to fit on it. Flip the patterned paper panel over and apply adhesive along the edge. Line up several photo corners to make a border on one side. Affix the panel onto your card and set it aside.

Stamp and die-cut three pineapples, some flowers and a pair of sunglasses. Color the images in. Adhere two pineapples and flowers to the card. Use the third pineapple to place everything where you want it but don’t glue it down.

Take the pineapple and add several Thin 3D Foam Squares behind it. Do not remove the release paper. Leave it on.

Open your card. Set the pineapple on it. Use a push pin (or piercing tool) to make a hole through the pineapple, foam and card.

Bring a brad through the hole. Your pineapple will then be affixed to the card and be able to nod.

Finishing the Card with a Sentiment and Decorations

Finish your card by adding a sentiment and some sequins. I wanted my sentiment to have a little extra pop so I cut three pieces of cardstock. I stacked and adhered them together.

While I used a pineapple to make my card today, you don’t have to! Simply pick an image that you want to nod. Cute critters and flowers are great alternatives.
