This piece of home décor is a great way to spruce up a room and give it a personalized touch.

Decorate the Canvas with Paper

Start by covering a blank canvas with patterned paper. I recommend using a paper with a subtle, more neutral pattern. Be sure to use a strong adhesive such as the E-Z Runner® Grand Ultra Strong Refillable Dispenser.

Add strips of patterned paper toward the bottom of the canvas. Create as many rows as you wish. Distress the edges of paper by rubbing your scissor blades along them. You can also create a distressed look by rubbing a little sandpaper on the edges instead.

Add 3D Foam Frames and Transfer Foil

Randomly apply some 3D Foam Frames to the canvas. Use stickers to add your child’s name to the frame.

Set some Metallic Transfer Foil on top of your frames with the pretty side up. Burnish the foil onto the frames.

Add 3D Foam Butterflies and Circles

Add 3D Foam Butterflies and dots from the 3D Foam Circles White Mix to your canvas. Apply foil to them as well

If you like the distress look, take your scissors to some of the dots and scratch off some of the foil. If you are worried about damaging your project, try it out on scratch paper first.
