Cute Dimensional Critter Card Tutorial

Welcome back creative crafty friends, Tracy McLennon here. Today I have a fun little Cute Critter Card to share, created using 3D Foam products.

A little-known fact about me…I am a musician. I play the french horn, like the little fox on the left-hand side of my card. So when I saw this super cute set of stamps, well…I just had to have them. Here are all of the details on how I create my Cute Critter Card.

Cute Critter Card Instructions

To start, I stamped and die cut the critter images. Then I added colour using Chameleon Pens.

The next step is to cut white cardstock rings and the circles from the middle using nesting circle dies.

Add colour to the white cardstock circles using Distress Oxide Inks, and a blending tool.

Using the same nesting circle dies, I cut 3 rings from the 3D Foam Creative Sheets. I then removed the top layer from the foam and adhered the white cardstock rings to each.

For a little bit of extra sparkle, I rolled the edges on the foam rings in a coarse glitter. Then adhered to each ring to my white cardstock, card front (3.75 x 6.5″).

To add the inked circles to the card I used the E-Z Runner® Permanent Fine Adhesive Dispenser.

Adding Dimension Details

Then it was time to add the Cute Critters to the card. I used 3D Foam Squares White Mix and Thin 3D Foam Squares to do this. I like to use the different thicknesses of 3D Foam Squares to get lots more dimension in a project.

The final step was to use Crafty Foam Tape to adhere the card front to the slightly larger card base.
